3 cans crescent rolls
2 pounds sausage, browned and drained
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese

While sausage is hot, blend thoroughly with cream cheese. In a lightly greased 9 x 13 inch pan, lay 1½ can of crescent rolls over bottom, covering bottom of pan completely. Spread the sausage/cream cheese mixture evenly over crescent rolls. Layer remaining crescent rolls on top. Bake at 350º for 25 to 35 minutes until crescents are done.

An alternative to this recipe is to spread crescents into a rectangular pastry, then spread sausage/cream cheese mixture evenly over crescents. Roll into a log shape and place carefully on a wax paper-covered cookie sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes. Slice and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10 to 12 minutes.
