- 1 tbsp - olive oil
- 1 lb - ground turkey
- 3 - green peppers - chopped
- 4 - onions - chopped
- 6 - cloves of garlic- minced
- 1 tbsp - ground cumin
- 2 tsp - oregano
- 1/2 tsp - cayenne pepper
- 3 - bay leaves
- 1 - 28oz- can crushed tomatoes
- 2 - 15oz - cans black beans - rinsed and drained
- 1 - 4oz - can diced green chilies - rinsed and drained
- 1 - 4oz - can sliced jalapeņo peppers - rinsed and drained

Directions:
Directions:
- In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, heat oil
- add turkey, green peppers, onions, garlic, cumin, oregano, cayenne, and bay leaves
- cook until turkey is browned, and vegetables are softened, approximately 6-8 minutes
- add tomatoes, beans, chilies, jalapeņos, bring to a boil
- reduce heat and simmer stirring occasionally approximately 45 minutes
- remove bay leaves
- serve
