1 c. baking molasses 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. shortening 1 c. warm water 2 eggs 1/2 t. cream of tartar 1/2 t. cinnamon 1/2 t. ginger 1/2 t. salt 2 t. soda 5-6 c. flour
Cream together molasses, sugar, and shortening. Add warm water and eggs. Add 1 cup flour and other dry ingredients. Stir together. Add additional flour to form stiff dough. Drop by teaspoon onto greased (or parchment lined) cookie sheet. Bake at 350º.
