1/3 c. green onion, chopped
1/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs
3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated
1 lb. ground beef
1 loaf Italian bread, cut into 1 inch slices
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1 jar (28 oz.) spaghetti sauce
1 c. water
2 garlic cloves, minced

Directions:

In a bowl, combine onions, crumbs, and Parmesan cheese. Add beef and mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls; place on a rack in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 400º for 15-20 minutes or until no longer pink. Meanwhile, arrange bread in a single layer in an ungreased 9x13 inch baking dish (all of the bread might not be used). Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning, and pepper; spread over bread. Sprinkle with 1/2 c. mozzarella. Combine sauce, water, and garlic; add meatballs. Pour over cheese mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350º for 30 minutes or until heated through.
