1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. Italian Sausage
1-15 oz. can tomato sauce
2 cans (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 cup water
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp.. garlic
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 pkg. lasagna noodles
1 lb. Ricotta cheese
2 eggs
1 -1/3 cup Parmesan Reggiano cheese
1-8 oz. pkg. of mozzarella cheese

1. Lightly brown beef and Italian sausage in olive oil, add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and next 6 ingredients
2. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for approximately 30 minutes
3. Mix Ricotta cheese with eggs and 1 cup of the Parmesan Reggiano cheese
4. In 9 x 13 baking pan, spread about 1 cup sauce, then alternate layers of sauce, ricotta cheese mixture and mozzarella cheese, ending with the sauce.
5. Top with the 1/3 cup of Parmesan.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes
7. Let stand for 15 minutes before cutting.
