2 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. white Karo
1 c. chopped pecans
2 egg whites - stiffly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
On a SUNNY DAY! Bring eggs to room temperature. Boil water. Cook sugar and syrup in the boiled water. Beat egg whites while boiling syrup. Cook syrup mixture until it threads then pour over the egg whites, beating constantly. Continue beating until it peaks. Quickly add vanilla and nuts. Yell for anyone available to help dip. Dip by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool. Store in sealed containers.

My mother was famous for her Divinity. She gave it as Christmas presents to a privileged group. She told them if they returned the candy tin, she would give them more next Christmas. We are not very good at making this candy but we try on occasion!
