I package Bing cherry Jell-O
¾ cup cream sherry
1¼ cup boiling water
¼ cup water to which 1 package plain gelatin has been added.
1 can pitted Bing cherries
¼ cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Pour water over Jell-O and stir until gelatin is dissolved. Add plain gelatin. Add sherry. Chill until mixture has consistency of unbeaten egg whites. Stir nuts and cherries into Jell-O mixture and pour into a mold. Chill until firm.

Mother (Frances Mealing McKellar) made this every Thanksgiving, garnished with her homemade mayonnaise.

Be sure you get pitted cherries; people will get a nasty surprise if you don't.
