1 cup dry bread crumbs
½ cup brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ginger
½ teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ cup molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients. Add beaten eggs, melted butter, vanilla and molasses. Drop from teaspoon about 2 inches apart onto buttered baking sheet. Bake in hot oven (400 degrees) for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown.
Yield: 2 dozen
This is an old Southern recipe – not sure of it's origin.
