1 ½ c. butter or margarine
½ c. light brown sugar
½ c. dark brown sugar
3 c. all purpose flour
2 – 16 oz containers of sour cream
2 T.+ 3 t. of sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla
Halved maraschino cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter or margarine. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add flour and mix well. Press into two 13” x 7” x 2” ungreased baking pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Combine sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Beat well. Spread over baked mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut into bars. Remove from pan and place a half of cherry in center of each bar. Store in refrigerator.
(These cookies do not freeze well.)
