1 cup, brown sugar
2 cups, flour
½ cup, butter
salt
1 egg
½ teaspoon, vanilla
½ teaspoon, cream of tartar
½ teaspoon, baking soda
1 cup of nuts (finely chopped)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients together. Refrigerate dough for 3 to 4 hours. Roll out dough and cut into shapes. Transfer to ungreased cookie sheet. Dough can also be used in cookie press for a bar-type cookie.
Bake at 375 degrees for 7 minutes.
