1 c. butter
2 ¼ c. flour
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon vanilla
Preserves (any flavor)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and cream cheese together with vanilla until fluffy.
Blend flour and salt in fourths to creamed mixture.
Chill thoroughly.
Roll dough ¼” thick on floured surface. Cut into 2” rounds.
Transfer to ungreased cookie sheet. Make indentation in center and fill with ½ teaspoon of preserves.
Bake 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until delicately browned.
Yield:3 ½ dozen.
