1 pound butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 T. Vanilla
2 cups flour, all-purpose
teaspoon salt
2 cups walnuts, finely chopped
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix butter (1 cup),
powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and nuts. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-9 minutes until set but not brown. Roll in powdered sugar while warm. Cool. Roll in powdered sugar again.
Pecans can be used instead of walnuts.
Ambrosia balls substitute 2 cups of coconut and 2 T. grated orange peel for the nuts.
