3 ½ c flour
1 t. baking powder
½ t. salt
1 c butter
1 ½ c sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 ½ t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

Cream butter, add sugar gradually and continue to beat until light. Add well beaten egg and blend thoroughly, add vanilla.

Combine dry ingredients and creamed mixture. Mix thoroughly. Chill.

Roll thin – 1/8 inch on lightly floured board and cut with cookie cutter or form drop cookies.

Bake at 400 F 6 – 12 minutes or until just turning golden brown on the bottom. Yield: 6 dozen.
