3/4 c. shortening (1/2 butter, 1/2 Crisco)
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix thoroughly the shortening sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients. Mix well; chill in refrigerator for 1 hour. Heat oven to 400º. Roll dough to desired thickness and cut into shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
