1 onion chopped
1 lb. ground beef
garlic salt
salt & pepper
1 large can tomato sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 can red kidney beans

Topping:
1/2 C. corn meal
2 tsp. flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Brown chopped onion and ground beef. Garlic salt, salt & pepper to taste. Mix together tomato sauce and chili powder. Simmer about 15 minutes covered. Add kidney beans.
Make topping:
Combine ingredients and enough milk to make a thin mixture. Pour beef mixture into large casserole dish, pour topping mixture and bake @ 375 º 20-30 minutes. Test corn bread for doneness.
