6 large ripe tomatoes
2 garlic cloves - minced
2 medium red onions - halved and thinly sliced
1 cup loosely packed fresh basil leaves
1 t. salt (or more) to taste
1/2 cup olive oil
1 lb. fusilli or pasta of your choice.

Directions:
Directions:
Over a large bowl cut the tomatoes into small pieces and mix them and their juices with garlic and onions. Tear the basil into shreds and add. Add the rest of ingredients, cover with plastic and put in refrigerator until ready to use.

Cook pasta. As soon as it's done turn into warmed bowl and immediately pour the cold sauce over and mix well.
