1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. oil
1 c. crisco
4 c. flour
2 eggs
2 tsp. soda
3 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. bag chocolate chips
nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl add br. sugar, white sugar, oil, crisco (solid), 2 eggs,& vanilla; beat until thoroughly mixed. In separate bowl combine flour, soda, salt, cream of tartar and stir well. Add in stages to the sugar/egg ingredients. Mix in mixer well. Next stir in chocolate chips. (and chopped nuts if you wish). Bake at 375 º for 12-15 minutes
