1/4 c butter
1/2 c flour

1 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c milk

1 No 2 can fruit, drained

Directions:
Directions:
Creme together butter and flour.

Then sift together flour, baking power and salt. Stir into shortening-sugar mixture alternately with 1/2 c milk. Beat until smooth.

Pour into greased pan. Spoon canned fruit over batter. Sprinkle over fruit 1/4 to 1/2 c sugar. Pour over top 1 cup fruit juice. Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 375º
