3 c. sifted flour
4 1/2 t. baking powder
1 1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. mace
1/2 t. powdered cloves
1/2 t. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. raisins or currants
1 c. milk
1/4 c. melted shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, mace, cloves, and nutmeg. Stir in raisins. Combine eggs, milk, and shortening. Add to flour mixture, stirring just until mixed. Pour into a greased loaf pan; bake for 1 1/4 hours.
