1 baked pie shell 3 pt fresh strawberries washed and hulled 1 c sugar 3 1/2 T cornstarch 1/2 c water few drops of red food coloring
Mash 1 pt berries. Mix sugar and corn starch in water or juice and mash berries. Cook until mixture boils for 2 minutes. Remove and stir in food coloring. Cool and fold in remaining berries. Pour into cooked pie crust.
