¼ cup margarine
1½ cups chopped onions (2 med)
1 can creamed corn (8½ oz)
½ cup milk
2 drops hot red pepper sauce
1 cup (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup sour cream
1 pkg. cornbread mix (10-12 oz)
1 egg, beaten

Grease 8” square pan
In medium skillet, melt butter. Add onions & saute’ until tender (about 10 min). Cool slightly. Add sour cream, salt, & ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese.
In medium bowl, combine cornbread mix, egg, milk, creamed corn & hot sauce. Mix well.
Spread batter in pan. Spoon onion mixture evenly over batter. Sprinkle remaining cheese over & bake @425º for 30-35 min. or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
