1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. diced raw potatoes
1 c. sliced carrots
1 c. sliced celery
1/2 lb. green beans, cut diagonally
1 (28 oz) can whole tomatoes,
5 c. water
cut coarsely
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. basil, crushed
1/4 tsp. thyme, crushed
1 bay leave
1/4 tsp pepper
2 T. instant beef bouillon
1 (7 oz.) can whole kernel corn,
Optional: can of peas
undrained

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef and onion in a large saucepan until meat is slightly browned; drain off excess fat. Add remaining ingredients except corn. Simmer for thirty minutes or until raw vegetables are tender . Add corn and continue heating for five more minutes and serve hot.
