3 c. flour
3/4 t. salt
1/3 c. grated orange peel
4 1/2 t. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 c. orange juice
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Sift flour before measuring then re-sift with baking powder and salt. Cream shortening and then add sugar gradually, beating mixture until fluffy. Add slightly beaten egg. Continue to beat. Add orange juice and peel. Combine with flour. Stir only enough to moisten the flour. DO NOT BEAT. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour.
