2 c. cornmeal
1/2 t. baking soda
3 T. butter
3 T. flour
1 t. slat
1 c. buttermilk or 2 T. vinegar in 1 c. sweet milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º. Melt butter in iron skillet, rotate to coat bottom and sides. Mix dry ingredients together. Mix in buttermilk into dry ingredients and enough water to make smooth mixture. Pour melted butter into mixture pour into hot skillet. Bake 15-20 minutes.
