2 c sugar 1/2 c corn syrup 1/2 c water 2 egg whites 1/2 c chopped nuts OPT tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp salt
Boil water syrup, salt and sugar to hard ball stage. Beat egg whites until stiff and gradually pour in hot syrup while beating constantly. When mixture is stiff, add nuts and drop from tsp on wax paper.
This was Grandma Mortensen's that she occasionally did that was really good.
