Part I 3 c. flour 1 c. brown sugar 1 tsp salt 1/2 c. shortening
Part II 1 c. molasses 1 c. hot water 1 tsp baking powder
Part III 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. molasses 1 egg 1 T flour 1 c. cold water 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Combine ingredients in Part I and set aside 1 c. for topping. Mix Part II ingredients and add to Part I. Pour into pie crust. Mix Part III ingredients pour into pie crust. Add topping and bake at 350º for 45 minutes. Makes 2 pies
