1 c. chopped dates
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. sugar
3 T melted butter
1 egg
2 tsp baking powder dissolved in hot water
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3 c. flour
1 c. nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine dates and boiling water and let stand. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and remaining ingredients. Grease 2 muffin pans. Bake one hour.
