2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. butter or crisco
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp each of cinnamon and nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins and water for 3 minutes; do not drain. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in raisins, add flour, etc and blend thoughly. Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375-400 for 12-15 minutes.
