1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. luke warm water (dissolve yeast in water)
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp nutmeg & maize

for sticky buns:
3/4 c. karo
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
can also use: chopped nuts, raisins, cherries
Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and cover with a damp cloth and let rise. Knead and flatten to 1/2 inch. Sprinkle with butter and cinnamon. For sticky buns, combine ingredients and pour over dough. Bake at 375º.
