2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
¾ c. brown sugar
½ c. sugar
½ c. melted butter (not margarine or butter substitute)
½ c. shortening
1 ½ tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 to 1½ c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°. In a medium bowl mix flour, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl mix brown sugar, sugar, butter, shortening, and vanilla. Add egg to wet ingredients. Mix flour mixture into wet mixture until fully mixed. Stir in choc. chips. Bake for 7½ to 9 minutes or until edges are just golden.
