Step 1 (dry ingredients):
In a large bowl, mix the contents for the bottle:
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. rolled oats
½ c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. salt
½ c. chopped walnuts
½ c. miniature chocolate chips

Step 2 (Wet ingredients):
In a small bowl, beat:
1½ c. buttermilk
2 large eggs
¼ c. melted butter

Step 3 (Directions):
Stir wet mixture into dry ingredients just until evenly moistened (batter will be lumpy). Scrape into a buttered and floured 9 X 5 inch loaf pan, and bake in a 350 degree oven until a wooden skewer inserted in the center comes out clean, about 50 minutes.

Personal Notes:
Layer the dry ingredients from step 1 for this easy quick bread into a milk bottle. The mix will keep for up to 18 months—then all that’s left is to add the wet ingredients and bake. A label on the back of the bottle contains the recipe instructions.
