3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c Mrs. Butterworth's syrup (or Karo light or dark syrup)
1/2 c. margarine, melted
1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped or halved
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 deep-dish frozen pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl, beat eggs with a fork or whisk until light, add sugar and beat again. Add syrup, melted (but cooled) margarine, salt, and vanilla. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle chopped pecans over entire top of pie, or decorate top with pecan halves. Cook very slowly at 200 for about 2 hours or a little longer. Cover the edges of pie shell with strips of foil if getting too brown.
