1 1/2 C. SUGAR
1 t. VANILLA
1/4 t. LEMON EXTRACT
4 EGGS
3 C. FLOUR
1 t. SALT
1 t. CREAM OF TARTAR
1/2 t. SODA
1 C. STRAWBERRY JAM
1/2 C. SOUR CREAM
1 C. CHOPPED PECANS

Directions:
HEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES, GREASE BOTTOM ONLY OF TWO 9X5X3" PANS. IN LGE BOWL CREAM BUTTER, SUGAR, VANILLA, AND LEMON EXTRACT UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY. ADD EGGS,
ONE AT A TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION, SET ASIDE.
IN SMALL BOWL COMBINE JAM AND SOUR CREAM; STIR INTO FLOUR MIXTURE, STIR IN NUTS.
COMBINE FLOUR MIXTURE WITH CREAMED MIXTURE AND MIX WELL. TURN INTO PANS.
BAKE 50-60 MIN. OR UNTIL TOOTHPICK COMES OUT CLEAN.REMOVE FROM PANS AND COOL ON WIRE RACK.
