1 c. sugar
5 T. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
grated rind of 1 lemon

Glaze:
1/2 c. sugar
juice from 1 lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Blend butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs. Add milk and mix. Add dry ingredients and beat till smooth. Add lemon rind. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degreees for one hour. Mix glaze ingredients and pour over bread when finished baking.
