1 to 2 lb. hamburger, browned and drained
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. diced green bell pepper
4 c. tomato juice
1 1/2 c. water
2 1/2 c. grated carrots
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. marjoram
3 garlic cloves or 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
2 cans cream of celery soup
slices of swiss cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté hamburger, salt, celery, onion, and green pepper together for 10 minutes. Add all other ingredients, except for soup and cheese, to a large soup pot and combine with hamburger mixture. Bring to a boil, then simmer 30 minutes. Stir in soup. Heat through. Serve soup over a slice of swiss cheese.
