1 c brown sugar
3 beaten eggs
1 Tbs butter
1 c cooked raisins
salt
3 stiff beaten egg whites
vanilla
Meringue:
3 egg whites
6 tablespoons sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar, egg yolk and butter add raisins. Fold in egg whites & vanilla. Pour into baked pie crust.
Meringue:
Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry, in the clean bowl of an electric mixer, gradually adding in sugar.
Spread meringue on top of raisin filling. Sprinkle lightly with sugar.

Bake at 350F until meringue is lightly golden (about 12 minutes).

Makes two 8 inch pies.

Serve at room temperature with whipped cream.
