2 c. cubed fully cooked ham
2 c. milk
6 c. thinly sliced potatoes
3 T. fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 c flour
1 T. melted butter
shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Place half of ham in 2 qt. casserole. Cover with half the potatoes. Sift half of the flour over; season with salt and pepper. Top with remaining ham and potatoes. Season with additional salt and pepper. Sift remaining flour over top. Pour milk over top. Sprinkle on some shredded cheese. Mix crumbs and butter and sprinkle over top. Bake, covered at 350º until potatoes are nearly tender (1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hr.) Uncover, bake 15 minutes more.
