1 lb. country ham, cubed
2 c. chicken broth
2 medium red potatoes, cubed
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 (15 ounce) cans navy beans
2 large cans Allens turnip green, southern style
1 T. sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Garlic powder to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Place ham, chicken broth, potatoes, onion, carrots and celery in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in the navy beans, turnip greens and sugar. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 1 hour.
