7 eggs
2 1/2 cups sugar
3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted

1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 cup sour cream

1/2 tsp. orange flavoring
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Bring butter and eggs to room temperature. Grease and flour bottom and sides of a 10" tube pan. Beat butter at medium speed until creamed. Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating about 1 minute after each egg. Beat 2 minutes more. Stir together the flour, salt and soda. Add to creamed mixture alternately with the sour cream, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Add flavorings and beat just until blended. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 - 20 minutes. Cool cake in pan on wire rack for 15 minutes. Do NOT open oven door before 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Personal Notes:
You can play around with the flavorings to bring out more of a lemon or orange flavor. Personally - I like vanilla! And yes - this cake has seven (7) eggs!!
