1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1 can (8 oz.) sauerkraut, drained and snipped fine

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Beat well. Add vanilla. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add 1/3 dry mixture and 1/3 water to creamed mixture beating after each addition. Stir in sauerkraut. Grease and flour 13 X 9 pan. Bake at 350º for 35 - 40 minutes. Top with chocolate sour cream frosting.
