Ingredients:  
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lg. egg
1/3 c. cocoa
1/3 c. milk

Burnt Butter Icing
1 bar butter (melted & slightly bubbling in saucepan)
Remove butter from heat & pour in separate bowl)
Then add:
1 tsp. vanilla
powder sugar (enough to make it slightly crumbly)
then add about 1-2 T. milk

Directions:
Combine ingredients for chocolate cookie and drop teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes. Let cool slightly and then frost with the Burnt Butter Icing.
