2 1/2 lb. center-cut salmon filet with skin on
1 cup maple syrup
2 T. fresh ginger
4 T. fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic

An untreated cedar plank, soaked in water for one hour prior to cooking.

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy saucepan, simmer maple syrup, ginger, lemon juice, soy sauce, garlic, and salt & pepper to taste. Simmer for 30 minutes or until sauce is reduced to one cup.

Place salmon skin side down on cedar planks, brush or drizzle with maple syrup reduction. Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes, or until salmon is firm, brushing occasionally as you cook. Monitor the plank to make sure it doesn't erupt in flames.
