1 gallon vinegar
1/4 lb. lard
1 lb. butter
1 c. black pepper
1 c. crushed red pepper
1/2 c. chili powder
1/3 c. salt

Melt lard and butter in a large pan. Add other ingredients.
Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer until flavors blend.

This is a good sauce for basting or dipping chicken or pork for grilling.
