1 lean boneless chuck roast, about 3 lbs.
1 28 oz. can chopped tomatoes
1 16 oz. can sauerkraut
1/2 c. finely packed light brown sugar
1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
1 envelope onion gravy mix

Directions:
Directions:
Put chuck roast in Dutch oven. Add tomatoes, sauerkraut, brown sugar, sliced apple and gravy mix on top of roast. Cover and simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours until meat is very tender. Serve over rice.

You can also use a Crock Pot for this recipe, 6-8 hours on low setting or put all ingredients in large baking dish and bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 3 hours.

This is a delicious recipe, very quick and easy, especially for Sunday lunches. The secret ingredient is the sauerkraut. Try it, you'll love it!
