3 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 C. sugar
dash of salt
whole strawberries
bananas
Cool Whip, lg size

Directions:
Directions:
Combine egg whites (at room temperature) with vanilla, cream of tartar and salt. Beat to soft peaks. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form and sugar is dissolved. (Mixture will be glossy).

Transfer mixture into a 9 inch baking dish and pile in a dome. It will change shapes during cooking. Place on middle shelf on preheated 350 degree oven. Bake for 1 hour. Turn off heat anad let dry in oven (door closed) for 2 hours or more.

Top pavlova with fresh sweetened strawberries, bananas and Cool Whip. Then top again with Cool Whip. Any fruit, such as kiwi fruit, pineapple, or any fruit of your choice is delicious with pavlova.
