6 slices cinnamon raisin bread, cubed
1/2 cup raisins
2 cups milk
2 large eggs
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees ( 325 if using a glass dish). Butter a 1 qt baking dish. Combine bread and raisins in the dish. Combine milk, eggs, sugar,vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg; blend well. Pour over the bread and raisins in the baking dish. Let stand 5 minutes. Bake, uncovered, for 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve with whipped cream or lemon sauce. I like lemon sauce on mine so I have included that recipe in the sauces section.
