"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

1 lb ground meat
1 tbsp fat
2 onions, chopped
1 green pepper
3 tbsp chili powder
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 8-oz pkg spaghetti or macaroni
1 #2 can tomatoes
1 cup water
1 small can mushrooms
1 pkg peas, cooked
1 can whole kernel corn
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups grated cheese

Melt fat and cook onions, green pepper and garlic, but do not brown. Add ground meat and cook until brown. Add tomatoes, chili powder and water. Cover and cook over slow heat for 30 minutes. Add cooked peas, corn, salt, pepper and mushrooms. Here is where you do the testing. Last add spaghetti to sauce and blend well. Fill a greased casserole dish half full and sprinkle with half of the grated cheese, cover with remaining goop, then cheese. Bake 20 - 30 minutes at 350. Serves 10.
