1 1/4 gr. cracker crumbs
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. margarine

Combine crumbs, sugar and butter. Press into bottom of a 9" square pan. Bake at 375 degrees about 8 mins.

1 envelope Dream Whip
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar

Prepare whipped topping. Blend cheese and sugar, fold in topping. Spoon into crumb shell.

Drain pineapple, add enough cold water to syrup to make 1 c. Dissolve jello in boiling water. Add reserved juice and water. When starting to set add pineapple and pour on top of cheese mixture. Chill until firm.

Janene and Jennifer submitted this, with Janene attributing it to Nora. From Jennifer: This was a must at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at our house growing up. A favorite special dessert! (Us kids never wanted to have the pineapples in it, though, so mom would have to make two--one with pineapples for her and dad, and one without for the kids!)
