3 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups cake flour (or all-purpose)
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 cups chopped raw apples
1 cup chopped nuts dusted with flour

Frosting:

1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup canned milk
1 stick margarine
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs, sugar, oil, vanilla, and dry ingredients (flour, salt, & soda) in order given. Fold in apples and nuts. Bake at 300º 1 ½ hours. Cool well and frost with Caramel Frosting. Start making the frosting immediately after cake goes in the oven and let it cool while the cake cools.

Caramel Frosting

Melt margarine and sugar in stewpot. Add milk. Bring to full boil and remove from heat. Cool slightly. Add vanilla and stir well. Frost on cooled Fresh Apple Cake.
