1 ¾ c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked quick cooking oatmeal
1 c. white sugar
1 c. lightly packed brown sugar
1 tblsp. Baking cocoa
1 stick oleo
1 ¾ c. flour
2 eggs
¾ c chopped walnuts
1 tsp. soda
½ tsp salt
12 oz chocolate chips

Pour boiling water over the oatmeal. Let stand at room temp for 10 minutes. Add brown sugar, white sugar and oleo. Stir until oleo melts. Mix in the eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to the oatmeal mixture. Mix well and add ½ of the chocolate chips. Pour batter in the pan and sprinkle with the remaining chips and walnuts.

Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
